RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC)

The European Union (EC) has enforced restriction of hazardous substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive. The electrical and electronic equipment containing lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) is affected by the Directive. The Directive sets up strict limits on the used of the abovementioned materials in products sold in the EC after July 1st, 2006.
